I've seen this one before. Just amazing. No one even slows down or brakes, like everyone thinks they have the right-of-way.

Seems like that has the makings of a video game. Do they do that for sport?Theo Osifeso wrote:Some funny stuff2:02 is hillarious, in a sick way.

People run lights all the time. That stuff just doesn't get enforced. :mrt:

Re: And you think they drive bad in Orange County
the 2:02 timestamp is seriously just baffling though.
why is the guy just standing in the middle of the road, seemingly to be in his own world?
why did the woman driver just run him over? i mean, i can see an intentional nudge to get the tard off the road, but that was like, "ok, aimed, FIRE!" type of deal.

I still don't understand why people are walking right smack in the middle of the road and not pahying attention to the cars. Did you see the lady with the kid that the bus backed up into them, why didn't they just run?

that one was weird. i was watching it and expecting the bus to run over the other person who didn't move, but the red thing like AIMED for them..

It makes driving in other countries look sane.

driving in taiwan is interesting.
there will be 3 lanes marked on the road - but there will be 4 lanes of cars, plus 4 lanes of mopeds packed between the cars... mopeds with 3 people on them, plus maybe their dog.
i still don't know how the hell you teach a dog to sit on a moped.

True. But to be fair five minutes at any intersection in Nigeria and you will want to get on the plane and leave instantly, it sometimes defies logic.Bob Beamesderfer wrote:It makes driving in other countries look sane.
Observe how the "school bus" driver is wearing an helmet but not the kids

Yeah, feet go where you can put them or just hang off. Rider probably must wear a helmet, but passengers were left out of the law. India is the same way and that is one of the reasons Rattan Tata said he brought out the mega-cheap car, so families of five weren't all on mopeds.Jeff Shyu wrote:that's how we got around in taiwan when i was young.

Re: And you think they drive bad in Orange County
In Guatemala the lanes are basically suggestions only. If there is room, you can squeeze through. If there are "boobs" (they're like C-cup sized speed bumps that mark an "stay off" area on the road, just like the lanes with diagonal lines here in the US) then people drive over them if they have an SUV. For your own safety, you don't stop at a red light after the sun goes down...just honk and flash your lights. People don't have the right of way but yet they still step off the sidewalk completely oblivious to traffic. It's like a giant autox course with obstacles that jump out in front of youJeff Shyu wrote:driving in taiwan is interesting.

Man, that's just like Africa
So, everyone is constantly honking so that the other drivers knows that they are there ... lol. The noise drives me crazy. Makes the vuvuzela sounds like mozart piano concerto 21.

wow. I don't even know what to say.
The streets are empty except for two bicycles... and they hit each other. Visibility is great ..and they hit each other. Speeds are slow...and they hit each other. No one slows down, or makes any effort "not" to hit each other... its like watching atoms collide.
