Re: European Grand Prix
Racing luck, although the stewards didn't think through Hamilton's penalty, a stop and go would have been effective.
Funny thing, Mark Webber was given a drive-thru penalty at Spa last year. He entered the pits from P1 and left the pits in P1. Went on to win the race. Ferrari and McLaren weren't involved, so there wasn't any uproar.

I'm alright with Hamilton's penalty, I just think they need to rethink the rules regarding SC deployment so cars don't get screwed over just because they're at a certain place on the track. Maybe employ a SC speed limiter or something to that effect so that cars that get ahead of the SC can't go roaring around the track making up all kinds of time.Bob Beamesderfer wrote:Racing luck, although the stewards didn't think through Hamilton's penalty, a stop and go would have been effective.

Yeah, the current regs create a situation that requires more rules to fix the problems, or so it seems.Jeff Stuart wrote:I'm alright with Hamilton's penalty, I just think they need to rethink the rules regarding SC deployment so cars don't get screwed over just because they're at a certain place on the track.
