Things I would like to see
I realize I am probably the only one, but what I would like to see are long sleve (I'm sun sensitive) T-shirts with the the Cal Club Logo on the front and all of the reconized teams logo's or names surrounding the SCCA logo on the back.
Some of those CSCC Solo 2 / Cal Club Region - SCCA window decals with the cone would be great too. Jay said he might make more.
That logo would make a great long sleve T-shirt as well.

Re: Things I would like to see
Maybe the CSCC could use that same T-Shirt/shirt "Cafe" on-line service that Team Blew set-up ? I don't know much about it ... I think Jeff Grossman set it up?

Why would we use that over Rick Brown?

Because it's very easy to order up from a wide variety of different style shirts ... and have them apply the logos.
Here's the Team Blew "site" http://www.cafepress.com/teamblew
... and that's just the beginning of what they can offer: http://tinyurl.com/39te7wu

The big thing about cafepress is you can order just one, not very practical for traditional screen printing. I'm sure they are using direct-to-garment printing (basically an ink jet printer printing directly on the shirt) which produces very high quality with no set up costs, but at a cost. $18 for a $2-$3 shirt with simple 3 color front and back print is about 2.5 times the cost of screen printing a small quantity of shirts on a per shirt basis. So basically it depends on what you are looking for, there are reasons for either option.

Re: Things I would like to see
My experience with Cafe Press in the past has been mixed. I have had a couple I swear were iron on transfers. I suspect as business has gotten better the quality of the product has as well. The issue is someone willing and able to design a good looking Cal Club Solo 2 shirt. Maybe being a novice and not having a club polo shirt to wear at events I am the only one who would buy one? Could be I am the only person who wants a long sleve

Here's one design that we already have, just haven't gotten around to printing them. Could be on long sleeve, too.Arthur Grant wrote:My experience with Cafe Press in the past has been mixed. Re: Things I would like to see
I like it. The long sleves are sort of a necessity for me. With my BP meds I am sun sensitive. Realize that a long sleve T-shirt isn't the same as SPF rated clothing but combinded with liberal use of Sunscreen I do fairly well.
I would personally be interested in Long Sleve Tall T-shirts. However going back to my orignial comment it would be cool to have one that showed the logo / emblem / name of all the points contending clubs, or everyone that actually puts on an event.
If you ever get around to printing those however please let me know.

I'm all for a long sleeve shirt myself - better than trying to seek shade all the time and I don't feel as worn down by the sun by the end of a long day outside.

+1
I like the idea of a simple long sleeve white T shirt with either just the CSCC/SCCA logos ... or perhaps a collage of Club graphics

Re: Things I would like to see
I'd buy a couple, but I don't do long sleeves.

I tried wearing a mock turtle neck once when racing against Ken...It didn't have the same effect for me as for him.
I too would like a long sleeve shirt. In my opinion, the design looks a little dated though.

Maybe a simple version of Rick's design?

Re: Things I would like to see
Yea, the design is dated. Original version must be at least 20 years old. I still like it, but certainly open to other stuff. All the team logos on a shirt doesn't do anything for me, but that's just my opinion. I'm OK with just the CSCC SOLO logo front and back although it's kinda ordinary. While I do computer graphics, I don't draw by hand. I might have time to play with ideas in the next month or so.
Maybe we need a contest for shirt designs.

Dated, but not out of date. My thought behind all of the club logo's is that each club sponsors a championship. To win a regional title you have to participate in a majority of the various clubs efforts (or be increadibly good) thus each is a contributor. Sort of like having all the track graphics but we don't have tracks. Instead of Willow, Cal Speedway, Daytona etc, we would show the clubs. But I could be alone.
I belong to TCC, but have really enjoyed working with No$, Team Blew, CASOC, etc. They have been very welcoming, each with it's own flavor, and I could be wrong because there are stalwarts that transcend clubs like Renee, and Gayle, Christine, and others, but clearly the clubs make this run. Anyway that was my logic in wanting a shirt that celebrated them all. I'll be quite now.

TCC doesn't have a logo as far as I know so they wouldn't be on the shirtArthur Grant wrote: I belong to TCC, but have really enjoyed working with No$, Team Blew, CASOC, etc. They have been very welcoming, each with it's own flavor, and I could be wrong because there are stalwarts that transcend clubs like Renee, and Gayle, Christine, and others, but clearly the clubs make this run. TCC.... Isn't the club statement, "a club for SCCA members who don't wish to join another club but still want to run for points."

Well there is a cal club logo, and the word team is easy enough. Thus team cal club?Steve Ekstrand wrote:TCC.... Isn't the club statement, "a club for SCCA members who don't wish to join another club but still want to run for points."
