I work for a Fortune 500 company that is interested in becoming a contingency sponsor. At this point we don't know much about the topic - we just know we have a brand we'd like to promote to amateur racers (SCCA and others). We have made no determinations as to the scope of the program, the budget, etc.
I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, and to help me focus my thoughts. How does a sponsor get to the racer? Are there go-between agancies that will market the sponsor to various racing organizations? What are some of the first things I need to learn about this topic?
Thanks,
Ramin

If you are talking about SCCA National events you want to start with Eric Prill: eprill@scca.com
