August 15 Championship Reg Open

Post by Rick Brown »

Go to http://solo2.motorsportreg.com/ to register.

Run Order: http://members.quixnet.net/free2000/8-15RunOrder.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I haven't gotten all points card holder numbers set as permanent yet so if a new person doesn't notice that they are supposed to pic a 600-699 number and takes yours, just let me know and I'll fix it.

Also, the system now validates your SCCA membership with SCCA. If your membership is current but the system says it's not, make sure your name in MotorsportReg is exactly as it is on your SCCA card.

Just to verify:

"On site Registration Fee Assessed on 7/18+" - does that mean if we don't pay online for future events (i.e. using skip payment), we will be charged an additional $10?

No. It says "On Site Registration", not Payment. As long as you pre-register online, you pay $30. Doesn't matter if it's pre-paid or at the event. Pre-registering greatly helps us in anticipating unbalanced run groups.

Ok, so when would someone ever click on "on site registration fee"? I'm just trying to figure out what that option means because it is unclear to me, especially now.

i.e. if someone was going to register online, they would have no reason to check "on site registration fee"... and someone registering on-site wouldn't be on the online registration page...

You can either pay online or pay at the event. Online payment can be by e-check or c/c.

Never mind. I guess there is a long delay in showing up on the registration list after you register.

We encourage everyone to "Register" on-line. This indicates to the event planners that you are planning to attend the event on Sunday. This helps give an indication of how the run groups will balance out and reduces the crazy, last minute scramble to rebalance the run groups on Sunday morning.

You can also "Pay" for the event on-line if you have a paypal account or some form of on-line payment (I don't know what they are accepting right now). Or you can wait and pay with cash or check at the event. If you have Solo$ or worked as an event official at a previous event and get a discount, if may be easier to pay at the event.

Whichever payment method you use, please, always pre-register on-line. It helps our computer guru to upload the pre-registration files into the registration computer at the event and speeds up event registration.

NOTE to non-points card holders, please use a 600 series number when registering on-line. Many of the numbers from 1 to 599 and 701 to 999 are permanently reserved for points card holders in our region. This will help our computer guru. He won't have to manually change your registration from a reserved number to a 600 number before each event.

For discounts, it is now easier to pay online. Check the email I sent you a few hours ago.

It's possible to make a number permanent for a person so no one else can take it, it's just time consuming initially, I'll get them blocked out eventually.

George & John, thanks for the responses; I understand what you are writing & completely agree with you, but that was not my question/area of confusion; there was another option on there that wasn't clear to me from a user perspective. Rick has changed that anyway, so we are good to go :)
Rick Brown wrote:That option has been removed.
Thanks Rick! Don't mean to be a pain, just trying to understand why certain options are there, etc.

Nice enough system, my only concern is that I am running Novice BSP and when I registered I couldn't find a way to indicate Novice.

When you pick your class, there is a second drop down box below it labeled PAX where you pick your PAXed class, in your case NOV. I already fixed it for you.

Thank you, wondered how that happened. Hadn't thought of myself as PAXed, but that makes sense. Really appreciate the help.

So I'm registered for the event, my name appears on the entry list, but when I go to the "Dashboard" section of the site, it says my entry is Pending Review. I'm pretty sure I'm in, but this is annoying. Perhaps I'm easily annoyed. And easily entertained.

Would someone help me out with finding the work/run order? I looked on solo2.com, motorsportsreg.com, and the forum with no luck....
