FYI, Registration ends tonight at midnight.

They are also allowing Double Entry for $10 more, which is basically a worked X-Run.

This was an amazing location to drive at. The concrete was so grippy (minus the Helipad sign) with no holes or patches
My last run was my fastest with a blistering 1:47:xx. It was a long course that was tricky in a few spots and if you didn't look ahead, you got caught trying to figure out the cone layout.

Here's a vid from an AM car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vogYiwg ... rn false; . Mike K will upload our best runs later.

Here are some pictures I took.

There were 37 pre-registrants not including military officers. They showed up and paid on site.
We were allowed 5 runs each! It was a workout with my boat and no p/s on a 1:50 ish course.

I started out with a 1:49:9x, dropping several tenths each run to the low 1:47:xx. Mike K started out with 1:56 ending at 1:50.
I have to look at the stickies in my car tonight since the results are not up yet. I think we took 1st and 2nd out of 5 in HS.

I generally suck at driving, having said that 3 DNF's out of 5 is more than me just sucking. I had a 1.48 on my first run by simply parking the car and just going fo a Sunday drive, any slight attempt to speed things up = DNF.

NOW, I'm sure some people did manage to do well, so I dunno. But my goodness, I love that surface and the people are awesome. I'll definitely go back again.

Me and Mike K. met a cool guy that volunteered to go to Afghanistan next week

Yah, very grip but not all that abrasive.

Too bad you missed Atwater.

Are ANY events being held at Atwater these days?

Yes, but not on that lot anymore. Now they run on a lot that needs two loops to make a 30 second course. Quite sad, especially since the plans for the old pad never came to fruition and it just sits there unused and unloved.

Great to meet you Mikes

Hopefully we'll do a better job on managing the situation in the future. Overall I thought the course was going to be a disaster, and then after a few ride alongs I couldn't resist the challenge. Truly a technical and test of looking ahead kind of course. I found myself numerous times falling behind, and never being able to recover, as that last second half section really tested one's will to pay attention and keep looking ahead.

October 3rd will be the next event at Lemoore, so mark those calenders, and for the latest info, fresnoscca.com is the only way to go

Kurt, you guys are also welcome to come party with us. I'll come up for the 10/3 event as long as no date conflict with our region.
