I saw nothing wrong with the videos. What are you talking about?

Reminds me of taking a friend to Hollywood Park to see his first autox....
We pull into the paddock and along the fence there are parked:
Factory Five Cobra
Ferrari 360 Modena
Acura NSX (sorry Tom T.)
A couple of corvettes, S2000's, and ITR's...

oh yeah, and a faded 91 Ford Escort GT with a bad tint job and skinny street tires.

I asked my friend which car he thought was going to turn in the fastest time that day.

He got the answer wrong.

Nope. Probably that guy in the Escort GT. Or Tom Berry.

Unfortunately all too true, but you could have said Nissan 350/370/GTR drivers, Porsche,BMW or Evo drivers and had the same results. However drivers being equal >>>>>>>>>>

Agreed... Idiotic Corvette drivers are just more common than idiotic (Blank) drivers because Corvettes are cheaper and more readily available than the other cars mentioned. However, I totally agree with the videos. I don't know how many of those guys I've met. That being said, hardcore autocrossers who drive Vettes are NOT your typical Corvette driver IMHO(Steve and Lisa are some of my favorite people out there). I never considered owning a Vette until I started autocrossing. Now it's a distant 'maybe', and if I did buy one, I doubt I'd be hanging out in Corvette clubs.
As a brief aside, try typing in 'Corvette Crash' on youtube's search engine. You'll find some evidence to support these vids.... Sorry, Lisa. Nothing personal. :D

Too much horse power and to little experience are a bad combination. You don't see too many people advertising a used 20 year old Miata with less than 20k miles, you see such with Vette's all the time.

Mark have you ever driven a run in a Vette? If not your more than welcome to put down a run behind the wheel of mine. OV will tell you it's a lot of fun.

I'm sure it is a blast. I love riding with Steve and Lisa (of course they're awesome drivers too). Just, total package wise, I don't see myself buying one anytime soon. I still would like to try one out some day, but I need to knock some serious rust off before I drive anything other than my glorified K1 Kart. :ugeek: haha. But thanks for the offer.

I was certainly never fast in the NSX (also I was new back then)

Have Will tell the story of spanking the entire Cobra Club in that Escort.

Whew! One of the few times I'm glad to have only 345hp. Otherwise, I'd have to race that guy.........

Would've been sadder if they had taken out a minivan full of innocents.

I tried to get him to come to an AX ... telling him that his mad drift skills could benefit from the precision on solo racing. Probably good that he never showed up ... Renee would have kicked his drift a$$ butt out of there
