Had the car three years now, ready to move on. Car is fully sorted with 28-series Konis and custom front bar. Always very fast, fun, and reliable. Passes sound here in SD, have a superlight but loud exhaust I can include also. Will come with 2 sets of wheels (stock and CCW), one set of street tires, and enough new or near-new R tires to last a long long time. Very competitive in class, its two drivers were in second and fifth place on the dry day last year at Nats.
Car is a "Mamba" edition 2004 with 13k miles, mechanically pristine. Cosmetically it is "no concours piece" as its previous owner might say, but it cleans up nice. Comfier on the street than my Tundra.
Looking for $34k. Contact jason@jrho.com if interested.

I was not blown away by the performance, however. Could you briefly go into the differences between a 1996 coupe & yours?
I know yours is seconds faster than the 96 I drove.
Chassis and suspension are slightly improved from Gen 2 ('96-02) to Gen 3/4 (2003+). Gen 3 has much better brakes, 50-60 more hp and tq, a better interior, and is lighter. The Gen 4 (2008+) has another 90hp over the Gen3 but isn't SS legal. The Gen 2 ACR had stiffer adjustable suspension, the Gen 4 ACR has similar suspension and some aero bits, neither Gen ACR is SS legal.
:edit: to add - one plus for the Gen 2 is it used a proper clutch-type limited slip diff. The Gen 3 diff is garbage. The good news is with 2 years' lobbying I convinced Dodge to issue a part supercedence, so the much improved Gen 4 diff could be used in the Gen 3 car. I was originally going to get a Gen 2 car for SS, but since I've been able to get the supercedence through, I'm glad I got a Gen 3.

Wow! I didn't even think that was something the average person could do, awesome of Dodge to listen.
Ralph Gilles was head of Dodge's SRT/Viper division and is now CEO. The SRT engineers are very supportive of the Viper community. With the Fiat ownership, will be interesting to see if there ends up being a Gen 5 Viper, or if it'll be some kind of Americanized Ferrari. As long as Ralph holds some power there I'd keep my hopes up.

Bob,
You can't call your Z06 a "Z". There is only 1 "Z". Its a Datsun.
I had a 1974 260z that unfortunately took a fatal hit from a large oak tree a few months after I bought it (new). Patch of black ice on a New England 2 lane back road.
IIRC Bob Sharp & P Newman ran several of these at Lime Rock Park, back in the day.
