Stick with the white car. Both black and white have the clean from afar, dirty up close issues, but you won't leave fingerprints on the white car every time you touch it, as it melts part of your skin off. My kids liked the car until the first time they burnt there hands on it. Even on a nice 70 deg day, I've burn my hands mid day on the painted metal surfaces. Now they want nothing to do with it. It also won't make the air conditioner work as hard compensating for the additional heat it absorbs.

If I had it all to do again, I would not have bought the black Miata, and would have found a different color.

I'm barely slower than BS, and I'm on street tires. So, I have a better/stiffer suspension, but less grip overall. Is it more fun to wallow around on sticky tires, or have a stiff, precise car that you have to drive on a fine edge?

1st - Peters is not human.
2nd - I really don't want to buy R Tires, especially in that size
3rd - For CSP, I would not be comfortable competing without a truck and trailer.
4th - I suspect it would be like smoking crack, where there is no return to sanity

I agree with you Max. I don't want to buy R comps either. On the other hand, I don't get punished when I occasionally drive it on the street. Everything's a trade off.

In talking to Christine, Tom goes weekly to the location where my car is at to buy salvaged cars.
It will be on his menu next thurs. for auction possibly if I complete the negotation in time.

I most likely won't buy it back, unless Tom has more ideas how to work this for some advantage.

Holy cow, Pete! I'm glad you're okay. Sorry to hear about the car. I'm not even going to look at the pictures. I had to have my trunk/rear bulkhead/rear bumper replaced when a BMW X5 punted a stopped Buick into my S2000 about a year ago. This looks/sounds far worse. Glad to hear you have located a potential replacement already.
