Thanksgiving Weekend

Post by Arthur Grant »

First and foremost I give thanks for the E-board that they are willing to put on this event over a major holiday, and the next championship and the one after that. It's greatly appreciated.

So what are the historic traditions of this event if any?

All the turkey eaters are super slow at Friday's practice due to left over tryptophan effects; we Tofurky eaters kick their butt.

Heads-up racing by Sunday, except for those eating all those left-over turkey sandwichs

A number of years we had the opportunity to hold events on Thanksgiving weekend. Many thought it wouldn't work. But we did it and the practice filled up, the school had a good turnout and the Championship was also successful. So we keep doing it.

It's the perfect excuse not to fly 2000 miles away to be with extended family....

One of those Woodruff ideas ;)

First one filled faster than any other practice I've been involved with.

I have to be honest, I am not much of a turkey eater, I prefer red meat or select types of fish. My idea of a vegitarian diet is pasta without the meat.
