Signed up for both the practice and the championship. Everything went smooth for the practice, but the championship didn't charge me? Did I miss a step and can I go back and pay, or do I just have to wait until race day? :?

You have the option of paying online or at the event for championships. You may have just missed the box or something.

On the Dashboard for the event is a button to edit your registration. You can select the Registration Fee there. Then when you click Finished at the bottom it should take you to pay.

I just paid for the practice on Friday, I hope it won't rain :-)
I'll also be there on Saturday to help if you need me - I'll be my gf's sponsor - I assume there is no need to register with my name anywhere for Saturday right?

And you know that at the end of the day you get to do a Challenge Lap ... looser buys dinner ... but the gals are the ones controlling Timing, so "we" always seem to end up paying for dinner. ;)

We don't end up paying because they control timing, haha.

Hey all,

My friend and I just registered for the practice event and it says that we were placed on a waitlist, does that mean the event is full?

Everyone who registers is put on the waiting list until registration closes on Nov. 19th and the final entry list is created.
From the Motorsportreg flyer:
Completing this Registration process does not guarantee entry into the practice. You will not be charged unless you are chosen as one of the 75 entries.

Any person providing a bribe of at least $20 is in for sure. }:)

1. E-board, committee, core members
2. People who are racing for points
3. Novices (limited spots)
4. Everyone else (first come, first served)

Right now the number of entry requests is just over the 75 person limit, but there are always cancellations (had 3 already) and there will likely be no-shows the day of the event. In addition to the entry list to be published, there will be a wait list. If you are in the top few of the wait list, the odds of getting in are very high.

No worries Chris, I got your cancellation email.

A kind reminder to all others, your cc will be charged this Saturday before noon (depends on what time I wake up :D), so if you need to cancel without your cc being charged please do so by this Friday.

If you cancel after Saturday but before noon on Thanksgiving day, you will receive credit towards future events on your account. If you don't show at the event and your spot is not filled, no credits will be issued.

Last day to cancel the practice before your credit card is charged. You will still be able to cancel penalty-free by Noon on Thanksgiving Thursday 25th and a credit will be issued for future events.

Please note that there has been a change to the schedule: due to the earlier predicted sunset time, we'll be starting at 8:30 instead of 9 so please arrive at the track early if you want to get a course walk in. More details will be included in the confirmation email.

It says the payment is optional but it won't let me register unless I pay up front.

Where you been, Art? Haven't seen you in forever... I don't know about your payment issue, but you are on the registration list.

It is just MSR's terminology. They don't consider registration closed until payment is made, but you can be on the list. Hence the email you got that probably prompted your post.

A couple of months ago, I paid to register for an event but missed the event. I registered for tomorrow's event but did not make a payment. Will my payment from a few months ago be credited tomorow?

No. You need to talk to KJ (our treasurer) to see if you were given a credit. A little late to be asking for tomorrow.

Not a problem for tomorrow, but for a future event. Thanks, Rick.
