Need some tires Shaved -

Post by Steve Eguina »

Hi Gang!

I need a source to shave some tires. I had some done in wither North OC or LA a few years ago but don't remember then name of the place.
Kind of a hole in the wall place but did a good job.

Thanks for any help! Steve

Trackside Performance in RSM (Rancho Santa Margarita) or Nate Jones Tire in Signal Hill are the only two places in so-cal that I know of. I've used both, my personal customer service experience with Trackside was poor, but the end result was well shaved tires. I like using Trackside best when someone else deals with them (thanks again Ken!).
Nate Jones in Signal Hill did a fine job, but was expensive compared to Trackside and they kind of work on their own schedule, end result was still a fine shave job.
Might be easiest to just ship them to Aim Tire in Sonoma.

I stopped using Nate Jones . Prices on tire mounting changed depending on who you dealt with on which day.

Trackside told me they didn't want to shave anymore, and recommended a shop at Infinion raceway?
Of course, getting new tire shaved from Tirerack is the easiest and best solution when possible.

Tirerack's shaver is by far the best i've seen.
