Vehicle Code Question

Someplace in the vehicle code (or someplace related), there's a section that lists the minimum distance and duration that officers have to follow you to clock your speed (I want to say 100 yards for a mile) on the freeway. Anyone know where I'd find that?

No. There is not a set distance requirement in the California
Vehicle Code or any manual to establish the minimum pacing
distance for a speeding ticket.

I like how they whine about a "Roseburg" on the state supreme court and how somehow lawmakers thought that speeding and catching violators was looked at as a game, which is exactly how they seem to approach the whole thing.

I just got back from freakin' Barstow traffic court...and my ticket was dismissed! Yee haw! Just goes to show you that you should fight every moving violation you get, regardless whether you are actually guilty. Negate any potential profit from the ticket in court costs and overtime for the officers who show to court, and the cops will stop looking at tickets as a source of revenue, and start looking at them the way they should be: a way to keep unsafe drivers in line.

BTW, this was the citation I got driving to Wendover, in case anyone's keeping score.

Yup. Guy had three other citations on the docket today, too, so I figured he's show for sure. Of course, I spent hours last night prepping. Every time I do that, the officer flakes.
