want to be on TV?

Post by Jason Isley BS RX8 »

SCCA has been contacted by a producer for ABC's "Wife Swap" looking for motorsports families to take part in the next season of taping. See below for details:
I have already sent the producer a note about the Robertson's, and she has called me in response, that would be good tv.

ABC'S WIFE SWAP CASTING OPPORTUNITY

ABC's hit reality show, "Wife Swap" is currently casting for its fifth season and we are looking for great families, specifically mothers, fathers or children that might be in the motorsports industry, or ride as a hobby. We are not exclusive in casting families for just that to participate in the show.

Families must consist of two parents and at least one child between 6 and 17. Families who appear on the show receive $20,000 after completion of taping and if you refer a family who appears on our show, you will receive a $1,000 finder's fee PER family.

If you are unfamiliar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the moms switch places to experience how another family lives. This is meant to be a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach other ways of life.

If you would like more information about the show, go to ABC.com and you will find "Wife Swap" under the primetime listings.

If you are interested, please contact my work ASAP 646 747 7947 or please email your phone number to rebecca.chaikin@castingrdf.com and I will call you directly. I would love to talk to you at your earliest convenience.

I hate these shows.

But of course I'm curious what the other side of the swap would be. An anti-car family?

Send Lori to live with a tree hugging hippie in a trailer park. And give Brian a Drill Sargent that makes him clean the garage.

Seriously, the only flip side I could see to a car family is a family that does not have cars. :?: Maybe an Amish family, but they could never watch the show.

Or one of those extreme-MPG obsessed a-holes like the guy in Wired a month or so back. It would actually hilarious to see someone who likes to drive fast and has a clue what other drivers on the road are doing be forced to drive with one of those guys.

I always wondered what possible inducement would make people do this kind of thing. Not even for $20 grand, thanks.

I'd watch Mari Clements whip a lazy Godless hippie family into shape. That would be good TV....
