Nice, Mako! You've outdone yourself. The 'fierce concentration" kart shot is my favorite; Leonard sliding, a close second. :thumbup:

Thanks Doug ... that's quite a complement coming from a pro like yourself!

I was pleased considering I was just shooting from the sidelines, rushing back and forth taking care of my two gal drivers, and considering that the Course Designers NEVER seem to take the suns direction into consideration! :lol:

When everyone sees the straight "un-processed" shots, they won't be impressed. One often needs to blow up the shots to see what's really going on ... so if there's a question, just ask and I'll take a look at what ever files you might have hopes for.

Especially in the strong backlight, I shoot with the contrast turned down so that I can control it later, ie. the originals looks flat.

Especially in the morning, I was being selective and shooting mainly for the folks that purchased the yearly photo package and other past buyers. Note I wasn't even going to come out on Sunday ... I didn't drive myself ... but felt obligated to those package buyers (and I didn't want Karen driving out on the Hoosiers). I remember being impressed when Albert would come out to shoot even though he had stopped driving ... and there wasn't really any money in it, but he did it for those of us that bought his package.

Congrats to Stanley for wining NOVICE with an evil handling BMW Z3. Looking at the picture above you can see the roll caused by the broken front sway bar. :thumbup:

Does this imply that you will be still coming to events next year to shoot?

Have the CSCC Sponsor a monthly race weekend photo contest with first place being a free guaranteed entry into the next practice. ;)

Can this message board have Polls ... to select the winner?

Or automate the process, using: http://www.wingscapes.com/birdcameras/audubon-birdcam" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As part of course set-up, place the camera in a safe but exciting position ... fully automatic.

Personally, I'm waiting for the HD version

Yes, thanks ... Experimenting w/ some new de-blurring software, as opposed to Sharpening or UnSharpening filters?!

... sleeping w/ the Manual under my pillow didn't seem to work. Seems like the software was written for a PC. :-(

If anyone was curious... This is that large ramp they were building in the parking lot on the south side of the speedway:
