Ultra Gauge

i'm just trying to get the idea of how much gauges cost, and what are decent.
All i need is A/F ratio (no wideband since expensive), or exhaust temp, oil temp., and coolant temp. No recording or playback function needed. Just simple very instant update.
Which guages are sold for decent price which means no Defi lol. i'm looking at this UltraGauge but i'm afraid it doesn't update gauges very instantly. http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I checked out some review on youtube and it seems like the gauges update slowly..for an autox gauge. What do you think?
Should i go for Ultra Gauge or single gauges that individual costs $55?

I doubt most of us could read various engine function gauges at speed on a autocross course. I have a hard enough time just glancing at the tach.
In my Barracuda I have Autometer, liquid filled ProComp guages. All mechanical. All 2 5/8th inch. All heavy, but high quality and high visibility. In the Road Runner, I have vintage mechanical Stewart-Warner guages.

In the civie, I have the parts to log AFR using an AEM guage wired into my DL1 data logger. Maybe someday I'll extract the bung plug and wire it up. No other gauges other than stock.

You could video tape it and watch them later, but otherwise, if you're looking at your gauges, you're not looking far enough ahead.

Non-wide-band AF is just a light show. There isn't really any useful information.

Personally, I have a 60mm Defi BF setup with electrical boost, EGT, and oil pressure. It's great because they have audible warnings for overboost, high egt, and low pressure, record & playback, and peak memory. I pieced together the whole system for $250 used (retail would have been ~$800).

So what are you guys opinion?
1) Ultra Gauge-$80, it's not beautiful looking, troubleshoot, many options and updates not so instantly
2) Individual- $55 each. Around $200 for all the gauges i need, updates instantly and they decorate the interior.

I suggest getting something w/ peak save (i.e. highest it was since last reset). That way, you can see how high your oil/water temps got after a run.

Instant playback is useless for the most part. You can record the gauges while running, but that also depends on camera setup, etc - and it may not be the easiest to review just after your run (when you want to know if something is wrong/off) unless you also have a laptop or something around, etc.

That being said, from what I remember you writing about your car mods, the stock gauges should suffice.

If you just want gauges so they look pretty, just get the single gauges.

I put a set of 52mm gauges in my car because they LOOK SICK!!! For actual functionality, I have a separate piece that records peak temp, boost, etc, came in handy more than a few times. The 52mm individual gauges... not so much.
