Re: Hoosier Tire Contingency extended!
THANK YOU for that link! Jeff said his hands were tied when I tried to redeem a tire before 2011, but after 12/15. Guess I wasn't the only one that procrastinated!! Much appreciated!!

So a few people did not pay attention to a cut off date that has been in place for years, and Hoosier had to make a change??? I did not love the idea of ordering a set of tires six months before I needed them, but that was the deal so I did. :unimpressed:Greg McCance wrote:This is awesome news!

well they haven't been enforcing the december date for at least the last 5 years. to then suddenly decide to start enforcing it and claim that it's been on the website for years was BS.Jason Isley BS RX8 wrote:So a few people did not pay attention to a cut off date that has been in place for years, and Hoosier had to make a change??? I know the date has been listed since 2003, when I first ran a Hoosier and had contingency claims. Choosing to ignore one of the conditions of the program, based on past experience, seems like a bad idea to me.Marshall Grice wrote:

I guess next years conversation is something like: "come on Jeff, you really did not mean it was a one time only extension".
In the long run all the people who made it an issue will screw it up for everyone else. Next thing you know all contingency claims will have to be turned in within a month of Natls so they can have the books closed before the next year. :unimpressed:

Re: Hoosier Tire Contingency extended!
this was the first year i had tires to claim. got them all before nats, save for the one my co-driver picked up @ the finale. somehow missed the cut-off date printed at the top of the page the first couple submissions, but noticed it when i finally got around to the last claim on 12/28. honest mistake, but jeff told me his hands were tied. as far as i was concerned, my screw up, and i wasn't privy to previous years and late submissions being honored so i didn't press on. seems that some did, so whoever complained, thanks to you as well! nothing like a belated xmas present leading into the racing season
... all that said, i do agree with jason, which is why i didn't press the issue in the first place.

Re: Hoosier Tire Contingency extended!
I am happy, I totally forgot about a deadline. Figured I would just claim tires when I needed them.. once the MR2 was built. But like Dennis, I am happy but if I could not have gotten my "free" tires, I would not complain. I like individual responsibility.
