Hal,
The archives that I am trying build only have info on the Club Racing side of Cal Club, nothing on Solo. So I have copied KJ and Gayle as they might be able to help with your inquiry.

Subject: Looking for validation of car for AZ SCCA issuance of continuation
logbook
Hi Penelope,
I am a member of the AZ region and have finished the restoration of 73 AMC
Hornet that Chuck Smiley drove to Solo 1 championships in your region in 85
& 86. The car is currently with the AZ tech insp. Mike Higgens. He has
verified the originalrollcage number and would like to issue the car a
continuation log book. Do you have a way to validate a car's history? Any
help you could provide would be great!

Renee might be more likely to have something. She and Craig ran (as in made it happen) Solo 1 for quite a while.

Re: Help requested: Validating Solo 1 car
I remember a Hornet, a very quick hornet running a few Solo 1's back in 75-76. Not to sure of the color maybe a dark blue? The driver had some sort of handicap and drove pretty darn well with his hand controls.
I'll check too see if I have any pictures of the car.
