Classing question...ProSolo
Hi guys,
What class should I run for the upcoming ProSolo? I know I'll likely end up in a Hoosier class with street tires, but I'm just running the event for fun/experience.
Car is a 2005 (C6) Corvette w/ Z51 pkg, but I'll have wider-than-stock wheels on the car at the event, so that means I can't run SS (where I'm signed up now).
Thanks!

Thanks, Jason. Will change to one of those classes.

I could be wrong here, but I thought I heard talk of an SK1 class at the Pro.

True, but if he isn't legal for SS, he wouldn't be legal for SK1.Mark DeShon wrote:I could be wrong here, but I thought I heard talk of an SK1 class at the Pro.

I'm not picturing a street tired car getting protested in SS.

Re: Classing question...ProSolo
Michael Eguina and I ran my street-tired neon at the Pro in SM because those guys were begging for entrants. To make class. When it rained all day Saturday, I ended up facing off against Navid's monster Evo in the lead pair Sunday morning. That was fun. Too bad it was drying up so well.

Hey, Doug...want to drive an FS Mustang Shelby GT? Looks like we are just one entry short of making a class...
Re: Classing question...ProSolo
Thanks so much for the offer, Mike, but I'm going to co-drive the BFR (Berry Family Racing) 325i in STX with Mark DeShon, instead of the Vette in some other class. I still haven't had a chance to go through and change the fluids, etc. in the Chevrolet, but when I do, I'll run it locally in CST.
See you out there!

STX has been very close and competitive locally, that should extend to the tour. And the Bimmer is looking fast.
Now if one more lady could magically appear in STXL!!!

I have bad news for you Steve.... Theresa is the only one at the Tour in the BMW.. so we may not bring it down.... just have her drive the Evo.Steve Ekstrand wrote:Doug Kott wrote:Thanks so much for the offer, Mike, but I'm going to co-drive the BFR (Berry Family Racing) 325i in STX with Mark DeShon, instead of the Vette in some other class.

Re: Classing question...ProSolo
I just found out that I'm able to do the ProSolo after all. There's no compelling reason for me to run my Mini in SK2, since a) I'm not competing in any other national events this year so I don't care about points, b) it looks like there might not be enough people to make a class, given the folks running in stock classes instead of SK2, and c) I wouldn't be eligible for the challenge in SK2. If you're willing to let me drive your car, I'd be willing to run in FS. If you're interested, give me a call (626 eight 1 8 one 8 seven 4) or email me (kurtrahn at verizon dot net) and we can talk further.Michael Wood wrote:Hey, Doug...want to drive an FS Mustang Shelby GT?
