I was going to start a new thread about GT Academy, but I'll just throw this here since you guys already mentioned it.

Here's a quick overview from the NYT: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03 ... ?src=twrhp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I missed going to Orlando by .015s of a second and finished 9th in the West region, but it's definitely great to see Bryan moving on to the finals. They're going to make a "reality" show out of the finals in England and air it on SpeedTV sometime in the fall. The actual finals happen at the end of May.

Also, related to the main topic of this thread: I'm an admin over at http://www.TunersPit.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, which is a very well organized GT5 racing league. We have events going almost every night, with organized qualifying, divisions, classes, and all kinds of other cool stuff that genarally confuses newbies. So, it's a lot like autocrossing }:)

You guys should come check it out if you're looking for some well organized GT5 racing.

Here's a promo video they did for Orlando portion of the GT Academy competition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxN5I_Qcxvg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You'll notice Mr. Heitkotter in there for a brief second.

4 of the 16 guys that are going to Silverstone race (or have raced) over at http://www.TunersPit.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, so you guys should totally check it out.

I could probably join in on sat.

Also shameless plug but one of my sponsor/coworker builds and designs wheel stands for Racing simulations(http://granstand.com/). He's gotten some pretty good reviews on http://insidesimracing.tv/ if you want to check him out.
