There are Marque clubs, like http://www.SELOC.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (South-East Lotus Owner's Club) that have a national presence, and so are more likely to have a list of events nationwide. The SELOC guys were very welcoming when I went and joined them for some events. Having a Lotus might have helped in that regard...
