Mazdaspeed Competition LSD for 1.6 housings

Post by Alan Yu »

This is used in conjunction with 1.6 axles and 1.6 axle stubs (I have them if needed). This diff gave up and the ring and pinion are busted. The LSD has less then 10,000 miles on it. They retail new for 700.

It is lighter then the 1.8 diffs and quicker then torsens on the track and used commonly in CSP Miata builds and SPEC Miata and great upgrade for those who have the 1.6 NA.

It is an easy DIY project here is the article

The Axle stubs are - 40 dollars
The LSD is - 400 dollars

shipping and packaging will be 20 dollars shipped to the 48 states

You should list that on one of the Spec Miata forums, I bet it would go quick... The Mazdaspeed catalog must not have been updated yet, that part has been discontinued by Mazda Japan - Mazda/SCCA has spec'd a Cusco LSD to replace that piece in the 1.6 cars. That makes this a pretty rare piece for a 1.6 SM racer.
