thanks for the offer, Art.
I was actually talking with Christine during group 4, on how i'm uncomfortable driving other people's cars. I think it dates back to the days where Marshall and I had supernatural powers of breaking cars. we were pretty sure if both of us walked onto a bus together, the wheels would fall off or something..
I wanna get a shifter kart, so I can join some SCCA fun once in a while, but mostly so I can go to AAA or Adams and get a ton of time for cheap..

True story! as a side benefit I'm pretty good at fixing cars these days. I'm still not sure it wasn't just a supernatural power of buying crappy cars though.

mine was more or less self inflicted.. pushing 18 psi through an old 2.0L air cooled engine sounds like a good idea, right? }:)
the MR2 was annoying though. 3 motors in 2 years.. >_<

Yeah, almost made that comment myself. But I think the issue is small and expect to fix this weekend.
Small issue with your kart that has kept it down for two years? Or small issue with Ron's? It's be great to get your old kart on the ground again.

Yeah, actually have the money to pay someone to fix old one now. But it's pretty much a box of parts that I need to take to someone and say "Here, make this work."
Small issue is with Ron's kart, probably the carb.

I don't know how I was able to keep that thing running for a whole season?
It kept me on my knees either exhausted from pushing it :barf: , fixing it , and praying for it to run.
I had plenty of close calls trying to get it started right before and in between runs. (It only let me down once but that was only for X-runs.)
Wish that thing had an electric start! :unimpressed:

The speed/acceleration/course map were captured with a MaxQData GPS and it was overlaid on the video file using RaceRender when I got home. Much easier and quicker than the old way I was doing it.
Is there any App for the iPhone that can do the same thing as MaxQData GPS more or less decently?
