Meet at 7:30 am at our shop 15854 Strathern St. Van Nuys 91406
Bagels, cream cheese, and coffee for the first 100 people.
Rumour has it that people will be going on a drive afterwards (nothing to do with us, right?) . There is even going to be a suggested route available.

"bust/burst" of speed + Miata = does not computeCam Correa wrote:Mako Koiwai wrote:Did you get something faster then your Miata?bust of speed

Would love to join if not hung over. LOL!
We have a big party planned at our house the night before.
Hi Kathy,Kathy Teulie wrote:We will be there. We look forward to it. What time does the second drive start?
We didn't see any traffic last time. I think the beach canyons are cleaner and warmer, than the mountains over Angeles Crest this time of year. Plus the south route cuts out a couple of hours of time for me.Mako Koiwai wrote:We find the canyon runs to the North & East of LA better then the ocean side ones ... a lot less non-participant drivers/traffic ;)
We found the speeds surprisingly high, ie. trying to keep up with KJ ... and watching his daughters head flying back and forth in the back seat.Amazing she didn't get sick?! We found ourselves wishing we had set our shocks and tire pressures to auto cross settings.

... but one can drive at what ever speeds one is comfortable at.
I'm hoping for the northern route. Two years in a row of southern is enough - need a change of scenery!Mako Koiwai wrote:I "get" the Southern Route advantages for you guys ... it's great that you and KJ and the Teulle's even consider it!
its about 110 miles to our lunch time destination, so about 3 hours with a couple stops for convenience and pictures.
It is inland, so our route should be relatively free of bicyclists (it has in years past, but ya never know)
The malibu mountains will be a zoo tomorrow, so we are taking our toys and going some place else - you won't be disappointed !
