codrive for San Diego and/or El Toro?

Post by Matt Murphy »

Hey folks, I'll be back out there in March for one or (hopefully) both of these events. I have work in Orange County, so to be able to come out and autocross at a high level while there's still snow on the ground in MN is very nice!

BUT, I'll need a car to drive!

Anyone need a codriver? I drive an STX 330i at home, so I'd prefer something similar, RWD with street tires, at a competitive prep level. I'm not a complete idiot behind the wheel, but I'm not likely to beat any of the more experienced folks in their own car. I drove with Bill Schenker last year and had a blast, though I wasn't much of a threat in CSP. ;)

Does anyone know how to contact Derek Punch? Would love to drive an STX BMW or RX-8, or any STR car, or STS miata.

Thanks!

Matt Murphy (yes, that jerk)

I can vouch for Matt - he's Good People.

And you can probably convince him to throw some home brew into the co-drive agreement!

You can try reaching Derek by clicking on the CSCC Solo logo above then on Find Other Users, type in punch then click on his name which will let you send an email through this site. Also might try though the SDR forums, http://www.sdsolo.com/forum/forum.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Aaron, no Supra? Still dialing it in, or giving up?

Mike's a good guy, and loves good beer, but I think he's just started brewing his own. (not that I'm starting a microbrewery or anything!) We're two different people, though we did codrive together about five years ago...

Anyway, I'm bottling some bavarian wheat today, and have a dunkel going in the fermentor this week, and would be happy to include that as part of the deal. =]
