Found a good tire mounting place - OC

Post by Richard Jung »

I found a shop that mounts tires for a reasonable price, ~$15ea. No lines, big shop, nice waiting area, good service, open on Sat., across the street from Rick Brown - what could be better? :)

I got tired of waiting in line at Tucker, and paying too much at America's. I've have had 30 tires done here with no issues. Always have some cool cars in their bays; muscle cars, race truck, V8 911. Action Tire on Via Fabricante, in Mission Viejo - ask for Mike

That's a pretty good price. Mounted, balanced, and tire disposal free included?

Yes, I think it's about $60 out the door including balance, etc. I may have them do my rear bushings next time.

Is it cheaper if you need to get tires flipped without balancing?

Do they treat the wheels with care? Most tire places I've noticed don't...

Probably less $ without balance. I've had SSRs, Volks, and Enkies mounted with no issues, but I don't want to watch them doing it. :)

They just installed some urethane rear trailing arm bushings yesterday, supposed to be hard to press in, but they had all the dies, etc.

If you don't need balanceing, Sears is actually pretty cheap.

I found a good place to do tire mounting. It's Evasive Motorsports. They charge $15 for dismount and mount, or just $10 for mounting. They also balance for $5 more. The good thing about this shop is that they sell a lot of high end wheels, and they know how to take care of your wheels. They're located in Sante Fe Springs. They also do race alignments for $80, and you don't have to wait 2-3 weeks like you have to for West End.

I believe Wal-Mart is the king of low price tire mounting. I've never used them, but their posted prices are cheap. Very impressive crew. I'd trust my car to them. :mrt:

+1 For Evasive Motorsports and also Drift Speed in Los Alamitos across from the Cypress Costco. Quoc at Drift Speed is pretty damn good at mounting balancing, and alignment. Great prices too!
