Sourcing Bilstein HD rear shocks

Post by Tristan Littlehale »

Hey all,

This last weekend at the tour one of my rear shocks decided to fail. I am signed up for El Toro Pro Solo and would like to get a shock in by then. Any ideas where I can source a rear Bilstein shock for an e36 M3?

Thanks,
Tristan

Shox.com works closely with Bilstein's West Coast regional headquarters in Rancho Bernardo. You might give them a call and see if they can help. They ship out of El Cajon, CA if I recall correctly.

Turner Motorsport also does a lot of Bilstein work, but they're shipping from the East Coast: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/c-211-b ... hocks.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm sure that's good info, but Bret is a contact I probably wouldn't bother for a single off-the-shelf shock. His talent is in coordinating custom orders (if you calculate specific damping rates you want, for example.)

Since time is of the essence, I'd get on the phone to someone who can ship today.

Call Sam Strano (Stranoparts) at 1-812-849-3450

Tell him I sent you, your situation. He has sent me Bilsteins in a couple days before.
