If we're going to replace the fronts, should we also do the rears at the same time? Car's got 70K (trouble free) miles on it now ... with a couple of years of R tire use on it.

I imagine, like most cars, it's much more work to replace the REAR bearings and replace the studs?

The best is SKF "race" about $425/corner, then SFK non race about $350/ corner, then the rest. Good luck with the $80. ones you found.

Mako- most all the "non-race" Corvette bearing are made by Timkin and just labeled or packaged differently. When mine went I went to the Autozone near AAA Speedway picked one up for about $70 bucks installed it in the paddock and went back to running. Go ahead and buy the high dollar ones if you like, but I don't think it's worth it

If they work on Henry's car then I'd say worth a try. Mine are still going strong, stock at 49k miles, so have not personally changed them. The guys I get info from are w2w racers so they work the bearings pretty hard on slicks & a failure is a DNF. That's why they use SKF race.

Getting them from my local Auto Zone, $90/per, with new studs. Simple fast

I have heard some of the auto parts stores may offer "life time" warranties on wheel bearings, sorry don't know which. Maybe ck that out.
