Re: For BMW owners
An interesting development, I was waiting for car thief #5 and car thief #6 to appear. Makes you long for the "good old days" when it only took one guy to steal a car.
In spite of the alarming headline on the TECHNOLOG "news" release it appears that the perp's had to push the car away, so much for the programming of a blank key via the obd port.
Wonder why they did not START THE CAR and drive it off.
Actually, due to the poor quality of some BMW circuit boards, I had to bypass the EWSII security system (installed by BMW due to German laws passed back in the day, forcing auto manufacturers to increase security) in my 95 M3 because of a "no crank" problem. Piece of cake.
Good post, I enjoyed it.
