Uhm, O.K.

I'm just wondering, though, if everyone who is coming actually saw this warning in advance. I'm wondering how many people might get caught by surprise (who, like me, don't generally carry cash and don't routinely check the message board).

There has to be an ATM nearby. The cash only item was discussed on the board quite a bit. But for those who don't read the forums much, it was also put on the flyer. There will likely be a few who didn't catch it, but there is always the ATMs.

We live in an age of technology :)

Wireless hand held CC scanners. Secure, easy to use. They even have scanners that plug into the bottom of your cell phone and dial the processing companies.

I learned of them from ART FAIR people that travel. How else do you pay for 1k dollar piece of art out on main street on a Sunday?

This is funny..

Even the hot air balloon ride operator in La Jolla uses a wireless CC processor..

Let me know if you want more info. It honestly saves a bunch of hassle.. or setup a "shopping" cart on here and let us "pay" through that??

our issue is a little unique and wrapped up in the death of one of our region's leader/steward/general all around good guy (but cranky)/keeper of the checkbook. see viewtopic.php?f=7&t=429" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. we'll be back to taking checks soon enough. although, any ideas (like your credit card solution) are welcome as we always like to improve. nobody accepts change better than this group of folks.

Sorry to hear about the loss. I knew I was attending an event dedicated to him, but didn't know what his function was with the group.

I have been involved with 10-12 different AutoX groups over the last 21 years. I have learned a little from each of them. From SCCA/PCA/UFO/ and all the different regions between NorTex/SoCal/NorCal/ Everyone is a little different. I'll help however I can.

Craig Angel (husband to Renee Angel) was co-founder with Renee of one of the host clubs (No$ - No Buck$) and was also the treasurer and owner of our club's finances, until his untimely passing. He was the "general" of this club. When he said "first car out at 8:30am", he meant 8:30:00a.m. SHARP.

RIP - #7 C. Angel
