Please Volunteer: Need Ladies Autocross School Instructors

Post by Lisa Severy »

The annual Cal Club Ladies Solo (Autocross) school is fast approaching. As in the past, the "Ladies School" will be held on the Saturday of the Thanksgiving "weekend". This is a great event that has launched a few successful competitive driving careers and has always been a whole lot of fun!

Once again, I will be the Event Chairperson and I am responsible for "recruiting" the instructors. I sincerely hope that I can (again) count on all the wonderful women who have been instructors that have supported the school in the past and I trust that you all are including instructing in your Thanksgiving weekend plans! If you have not been an instructor before, but believe you are a qualified female instructor/solo driving skill coach, I would love to hear from you, too! Because the school always has many students sign up, I need as many instructors as possible!!!!

So far, I have one returning volunteer that has stepped up (thank you, Diane Cadenhead!)

So I kindly request that you please send me an e-mail through this forum or the solo2 site or post your willingness to be an instructor again in response to this post as soon as possible. Please also let me know if you are not going to be available this year. Otherwise, I may keep bugging you to sign on.

Thank you for your continued support. I hope to get your confirmation soon!

Sincerely,
Lisa

Karen is of course on-board. We've been trying to drum up business. Karen is going to donate her Miata for a student. Has a flyer been created yet with cost, deadline, etc?

Hey Lisa!

Did you need a safety steward for the event?

I'm not sure if Lisa has one or not, but an entrant in the school won't be able to have that position.
