Wow, I can't believe it... someone made a sticky street tire that's wider than a 225 for 16 inch wheels? My prayers have been answered!!! Now maybe the rear end of my car will actually follow the front end for once...

Is that the new Kuhmo that isn't SCCA legal until next year?

Forget the XS, the new DX is for all the Miata autocrossers!
No typical new tire smell. Designed for fitments on high-end luxury sedans, this innovative tire comes in a lavender fragrance that is activated via heat-resistant oils that are infused in the tread compound. But expect more than aromatherapy because this tire delivers a quiet, comfortable ride with remarkable wet traction throughout its tread life.

Sorry James, that ain't going to fix your problem. It's an easy fix if you stop driving like a North Korean. ;)

It's okay, though, lately my driving has been afflicted by North Korean-itis.

Tentatively, Kyle will be running the 205/50-15 XS on his Civic, I'll be running the 215/45-16 on mine. Both on 7.5" SSRs. We've yet to mount the tires so I can't tell you how pretty they look just yet. We will run them full tread. Also, we don't know about pricing.
Dood, are you gonna eat that?

:gpower: American shooter Jason Turner (who helped train me) was just elevated to the Bronze medal in 10 Meter Air Pistol after a North Korean was booted for testing positive for a Beta Blocker that helps control trembling ... specifically banned in the shooting and archery events. Nice for Jason, but a drag to miss the real award ceremony.

Late this afternoon, I saw Ken enter the rear of the motorhome taking one of the brand new Kumhos and a box of tissues with him. I have a feeling all the tissue is gone...

North Koreans RULE... we just need drugs to do it :mrt:

Lets take a close look...(no conclusions, just the facts)

Image

Kens and Kyles car on scrubbed in Kuhmos 16 and 15 respectively
Allstar Civic on almost 200 run bridgesones with 20lbs of ballast on the front of the car

Yeoh down to within .5 of Ken's fastest, cones were silly cones at the start.
and temps pretty low all night, since we were racing at something like midnight

I think it would be worth comparing the tires both shaved and during day time temperatures...
...we are up to the comparison since we also have fresh b'stones

Oh oh oh, I think someone just whipped out their dueling glove!

Hmmm there IS an event this sunday in San Diego where this can be settled... hahaha

In all serious though, Ken's car wasn't ideal either. He was on the the 16s, which was too tall. The tires would also be a lot faster if shaved. I'm sure both of those things would be good for at least 5 tenths. And then there's the condition of the car...

I thought they aren't legal only until Nationals. After Nationals, they are legal, no?

totally harmless here james...no gloves here...wilson was asking how they stood up to the current tires, and i just wanted to give him and the readers out there the facts....we all know ken in OUR car can spank us thats and thats without saying....so respect to him and knowledge for all... :D
