So you thought the RallyX season was over... Well, guess again!

Due to the demand for more events, we're boosting up the schedule. 2013 will see more weekends, and we're tacking on the "Christmas Special" to the 2012 season.

The Christmas Special is a standalone weekend, i.e. has no effect on either the 2012 or 2013 series results. The essence of this event will be a two day (three session) practice with an under lying competition. Driver's can chose to compete over the three days by entering as a 'Christmas Special Competitor', or simply buy ala carte practice runs for any of the sessions.

So here's how it works. There will be three 'sessions'; Saturday mid-day, Saturday NIGHT, and Sunday morning. During each session we'll start with competition runs (4) for those entered in the Christmas Special. Once complete we'll open the course for general practice runs until demand dies or time runs out.

Final classes will be determined by the entries. Register for your 'normal' class, but they will be combined as necessary to get meaningful competition.

We will have trophies and medals for class winners.

I don't expect the same high numbers we get throughout the proper season, none the less there is a 60 driver limit on this event. Please register early so we know what we're handling.

Pre-reg for the practice and get two free runs. 'X-mas Special' competitors get 4 competition runs/session + 6 free practice tickets (18 in total).

Slow progress on the entries. This night event is probably a one time thing, make sure to participate if you can. Get those pre-registrations in so we can plan for the crowd.

Even though this is a much reduced expence event, current entry numbers are putting us in the red. So get out that whip and encourage your neighbors!

RallyX course is up, looks like weather is going to hold off until we're opening presents.

In case anyone wanted to stop by we'll be doing a late start tomorrow, scheduled for 9am registration and 11am first car off.

After several hours we'll take a long break to tweak the course and get the lighting out. At 5:30pm we'll start the night runs then go until everyone falls asleep.

Early start on Sunday, 9am first car off.

Fun Fun Fun ... something everyone should try. Nice fast course, in the mid 60's. Endless runs ... even though there were a bunch of rally cars there. Looked like a Suby Meet.

Karen loved it so much ... the Mazda 2 was Perfect ... it won this years Stock FWD Rally Cross National Championship ... that Karen and Kati are thinking of co-driving one of Kati's Suby's in their Championship next year. We missed the Night portion of the Rally Cross ... Jay had attached LED's to the cones ... in order to go to ex-Auto Crosser, current NASA National Champ, Terry Free's party. He gave out awards to all of his crew for helping him get on top of the podium so often ... including ex-AX'er Carlos:

Over all things went very well. We had a nice surge of walk up entrants that kept us out of the red. Night runs seemed to work out about as best as could be hoped for. And we even got to call it an early day on Sunday.

On the 5 fwy near Glendale yesterday late morning came across a Suby completely covered in mud. Gave the driver a thumbs up when we passed him in our Mazda2 ... that we had just finished blasting the mud off of the underside. Number 818 ... MY old CSCC number. Cool to find out through the results that he/Andy also ran the event.
