Where to find Recaro to Z06 adapter

Post by Mako Koiwai »

Can anyone recommend a place (on-line) that would sell the adapter to fit a Recaro Pole Position seat into a C5 Z06. I have the side mounts ... just need the proper adapter.

Odd, they don't have a custom adapter. Only something that is approximate, and needs to be adapted.

For once trying to get something that truly just bolts in :?

1: Sparco base: http://www.ogracing.com/sparco-seatbase ... z06-driver

2: Corbeau base: http://www.tpsmotorsports.com/corbeau-c ... -side.html

3: Corbeau base cheaper maybe: http://www.andysautosport.com/chevrolet ... t/corbeau/

4: Lots of holes version: http://www.andysautosport.com/chevrolet ... t/planted/

5: A different view of the Sparco base: http://www.andysautosport.com/chevrolet ... et/sparco/

Not sure what your cheapest will be after shipping/tax if any. Some have sliders, some don't.

You'd have to call each company to inquire about the dimensions of distance between the holes for attaching the sidemount adapters & then verify.

On a side note, if you are close to hitting the roof w/ a helmet on now, you will want to make sure any setup doesn't raise your seat too much (some do, some don't).

Mako if you want the Corbeau I can get them through RacingLifestyle.com.....You will want the double locking sliders. Usually takes about 4 days. FREE SHIPPING. Sparco's usually take forever unless they have them in stock in Irvine.

Be glad to help. Steve Eguina - RacingLifestyle.com tel # 714-656-8793

The four times I've installed racing seats have just been torture! Once a company gave me the slightly wrong adapter ... that was fun trying to ADAPT!!!

"Oh we sent you the Impreza adapter, not a WRX adapter"

So I'm hoping this time to make it as easy as possible ... at least the Vette has more room then the Miata's and WRX's.

So does anyone ... Steve ? ... have a recommendation on which of these options I should go with for hopefully easiest install.

Q ... I owe you! Thanks
