Looking for a fast co-driver

Post by Bobby Beyer »

As the title states I'm looking for someone who wants to co-drive my car at the next Fontana event. My car is a 2008 Toyota Yaris that is prepped for the STF class, its very capable of getting into the top 10 on PAX.

The only requirement I have is that the driver is a better driver than me.

What are you trying to accomplish? If you just want someone to drive your car that you can compare your times (and if you have video/telemetry, more detailed stuff) to, I'd be happy to help. I'm driving my car in RTR, but I'd be happy to drive your car in the practice. Unfortunately, you run before me and I work last, so there's not much I can do Sun.

I have a DAQ that I'm trying to get more data from. I'm not really looking for someone to have a single practice run but an entire session. I don't normally go to the Sat practices in Fontana since its a bit of a drive from South County.

I've seen your Yaris around, and wondered what it was capable of. It's been a couple of years since I've played w/ FWD (note the image). I'm in the same run group as you (STS), but I'll volunteer if X runs in the last run group are an option (we work 5th).

I drove it at the last SD event, this car is a blast to drive. Bobby is a great guy to co drive with.

If you're interested in doing it next event (Mar.), I think we're slated to switch to morning. I'd be happy to do Xruns.

I don't have any problems with that, I don't know the run order just yet for PAX but I'm guessing it'll be in the afternoon.

Hi Bobby, it's Charlie.

I haven't done Solo in a few years, but I am available to help "sharpen your edge" if I can. I could probably help sort the car - I might see things you overlook because of your familiarity with it. When is the next event? I'd love to help.

Hey Charlie,

Yeah absolutely :D The next event is at Fontana this Sunday, I'm not sure if that conflicts with any of your events, but I'd love to get data and inputs on the car.

Hello there, someone redirected me from my thread where I was begging for a ride.
I have been out for a couple of years from the AutoX scene , but I wasn't the slowest guy oth there before that and would love to drive your car on the 10th of march event if you are attending.
please P.M. me if you are still interested :).

take care.

Looks like you found a car according to MSR, but if that's not the case the car is available during the STF session.

Making funny faces at 2 todlers for the last couple of years and driving a Diesel Wagon probably obliterated whatever driving skill I had...
