WTBorrow or rent: STX wheels and tires

Post by Bryan Heitkotter »

Before I buy my own for a one-off event I thought I'd see if anyone has extra wheels and tires I can rent or borrow for the El Toro ProSolo. Although likely an exercise in stupidity, I'm curious to see what my stock daily driver can do with ST* wheel/tire allowances. My luxurious 300ZX is ~3200lbs with low CoG and fantastic suspension geometry.

Here's what I'm after:
9" wide wheel in 17 or 18 diameter
5x114.3
35-45 offset range
Center bore at least 66.1mm
255 or 265 tires, fairly competitive compound/age. Last year's hot stuff (RS3, Z1) is okay. Toyos probably not great for a heavy car.

Let me know what you've got and what you want. :) You'd have to get the wheels and tires to and from El Toro.

PM me here or use email. bryan[thenumbersixtyfour] at gee mail dot com .

For those that don't know Bryan, he's an excellent racing shooter.

Oh, and he also won GT Academy in 2011 and races professionally for Nissan.

... besides winning a number of SCCA Solo National Championships, including, if I recall correctly STX last year over Jeff Stuart, after they flew back from Silverstone where he made an appearance on last years GT Academy.

He's one of the few that can also beat Ryan Buetzer.

So, lending Bryan tires and getting to perhaps co-drive with him would be a Schooling, in a good way
