January 19 Autocross Sunday Registation Open

Post by Rick Brown »

Registration for our first event of 2014 is now open. CLICK HERE to register or for info.

When registering online, please be sure to read page 2 describing new 2014 classing and how to properly select your class.

Due to the new classes, we haven't determined run groups yet. We encourage you to use online registration and do so soon to help us determine run groups for the event. Thanks!

Before I register I just want to get something straight to save rick a bunch of changes.

Will there be PAXed Street Prepared, Prepared, and Modified Classes? As opposed to individual street prepared classes and combined prep-Mod?

Currently no discussion about combining any Street Prepared classes. CPM is no more, but all Prep run PAXed together and all Mods run PAXed together. It's likely though that they will still run at the same time.

To see what classes are available, go to MSR to register and look at what's in the drop down for "Class". All individual classes are listed in the "PAX" drop down since they have to be available to select your index when choosing a PAXed class.

Sorry for the silly question, and I promised I looked everywhere.

But what time will inspection start in the morning. On the event calendar and registration it only gives the date.

This will be my first year, and I did one event last year and cannot for the life of me remember when I arrived.

Thanks!

***Edit

No sooner then when I hit submit did I find the information. If anyone else needs it, it can be found on the registration information page:
"Course walks to help you with learning the course will leave the starting line @7:45am and during the lunch break"

Hello all-

Just found this site and I have a question.

What are the rules for photographers there? Can we sign a waiver and get access to the track or are we stuck behind the k-rails? I have seen these races before but I would love the opportunity to photograph one for you guys.

In addition to the waiver you sign when you attend the event, you'll need to talk to the event chair or safety steward in addition to having a spotter, preferably someone who has autocrossed before. Spotter also needs to have signed a waiver. So, yes, you can take pictures as a photographer on course - as long as you have a spotter.

Thanks for the fast reply, Now I need to find a reliable spotter. I shoot Lucas racing and Motorcross without spotters. Its a rush doing so but I understand being out in the open at the stadium has its risks. Can that big ole cement light pole be my spotter? LOL kidding.
