On shorter tighter courses, are people using shorter tires on their S2000's and Boxsters?

I was surprised to hear that Sean was using tires up to 2" shorter on his Elise ... no wonder he didn't think there was much difference in torque between his car and Chad's Exige ... he's got near instant VTech.

Any of the factory option wheels are legal, which includes the various 19s they offer. Tire diameters are better in the 18" sizes tho and with the tall gearing, I'd probably be running 18s over the 19s on those cars.

Not to mention more unsprung weight and more expensive rubber with 19".

Who said that, the dealer? The various TSBs and letters sent to owners spell out very clear what is covered and for how long. I find they are very useful items to have when educating your service advisor on what is covered. ;) But in four years of ownership we have had to make very few trips to the dealer.

In addition, warranty coverage for the RX-8 includes extended coverage of the rotary engine to eight years/ 100,000 miles (whichever comes first).

It is a great car and I really do like it. What it has over the s2k is the ability to hold 4 people. When you drive a two seater long enough, as much as you like the car you sometimes wish it could hold another person or two.
