'96=328, first year of OBDII.

Who knew so many numbers had extra meaning. My numbers are just numbers...

It's just taking forever to figure out exactly what it is that's broken! The engine is now spread all over my kitchen counter.
Do they make "crate" shifter kart motors? If they do, what do they ship them, in a shoe box? :D :D

Isn't it about time to clean the kitchen and start all over----- }:)

A new Swedetech motor will set you back about $3-4K!

I wonder how K-Mho got his #721? Reminds me of a Firestone tire commercial I remember as a kid. Guess I watched too much tv.

I have a good guess... He used to co drive with the Berry Family and we all have numbers derived from the numerals 1, 7 and 2. (72, 172, 17, 171)

Mine has no meaning either, I just look for something I can remember when I'm asked at registration

My number 313 is sooooo obvious :heyes:

The litteracy rate in Finland (where I am originally from) is 100% and the best in the world due to Donald Duck. This is a comic book that comes to your house once a week. And - trust me - you do need to read it before the other kids or your siblings!

Donald Duck's license plate number is 313. That is derived from his birthday that is March 13th.

More DD trivia than you ever needed? Should we now move to discussing Paperinik? Image

My first number in 1990 was "999". I like 9s...

...my second number in 2004 was "161" 'cause I was co-driving with James Wilson who was "61"...

...my third number was "747" for 2005 and 2006. Was going for the "jumbo jet" theme...

...after dropping the lbs., I went with "9" in 2007 'cause, well, I like 9s...

427 was the date of my very first track day at Vegas Motor Speedway on April 27. Car lasted for around 2 sessions before the lower alternator bolt disappeared and the belt could barely spin the water pump. I wouldn't figure that out until I was driving back home and we pitstopped at the diner we stopped at on the way there. Taught me to always use locking nuts/fasteners on high vibration components when replacing factory equipment.

Good ol' Las Vegas International Speedway (aka L-VIS.) Wonder if it's still there?

As for me, several of our old race cars used the number 55, and the rest had some combination with a 3 in it (33, 13, 339.) 355 just happened to be available when I signed up.

That outside track was very fun. Did many Solo 1 events there when LVR was running them before they moved to Spring Mountain in Pahrump, in both a 510 and a 240Z. Looks like that track is still there although quite a bit added to it since I ran it.

talked with GRA guys and they said the section where that pic was taken didn't exist for a while. used to be a long right hander...I guess too many people went off/drove into the pit wall so they put the switchbacks in before the main straight. They called it the 'classic' track? Forget the exact name we were given for it when we ran it (MR2 club had an event/trackday we did at LVMS) but I recall it being called the "classic 1.2/1.4? mile road course".
