Thanx Craig. I'm going to be out of town a couple days. We'll decide early next week about a Friday course setup. Won't happen unless we have a way to get the motorhome on site.

George, apparently I messed up again, I registed BSP, but what I wanted in Novice, how do I go in and change that. I haven't figured out how to get back to where I can make changes on class.

Go to solo2.motorsportsreg.com, click on the Register button for the event, which should log you in if you are not already, then click on the Dashboard tab which takes you to where you can edit your entry.

George thank you that took care of the issue. Looks like we are going to have a great battle in Novice, all the top runners are there.

Practice list is posted. We still have room for more if you're interested in attending. Should be lots of runs for everyone.

Don't know if I'll be in town and able to make it... Hope I can.

Just a note: I ran at an event in Harrisburg, PA on new blacktop and was destroyed. After just a few runs we got ruts and moved the course but half way through they day it was clear that we could not continue and the event had to be canceled. Fingers crossed that we have no such problems at this site, and that I get to run here!

So cool in the practice and the championship. Thanks team for pulling this off with all the work form Nationals, and then the venue change, very much appreciated.

Ok folks, I need a couple of volunteers. We need to get the CTV from El Toro to San Bernardino. I'd like to do this on Friday. I can help also, but I need rides to and from the sites. This can be one person or more than one. I live near Long Beach Airport.

So here's one scenario. I hitch a ride from someone passing near Long Beach heading south toward El Toro Friday morning. I take the motor home to San Bernardino and someone pics me up and drops me in Long Beach.

Or two people near El Toro get together and coordinate the delivery of the CTV.

Or any other scenario you have in mind that fits in your schedule on Friday.

Let me know.

I can drop you off at El Toro in the AM on Fri. George. Pick you up around 10 AM.

George, what is your planned schedule. This is my working Friday otherwise I would have already volunteered but if your short, I can ask my boss for a 1/2 day off. Are you looking to set up in the moring or afternoon?

You have a PM Arthur. The short answer is it's still up in the air. So far, Friday set-up doesn't look good do to lack of volunteers. Thanks for asking and stepping up.

George, if you can get the motorhome on site, I'll do friday afternoon setup regardless of number of helpers. I may just layout the course and leave other stuff until the morning.

Bill, probably don't need to remind you, but please take into account the location of the motorhome. We prefer to use the speakers and displays mounted on the roof so a central location with regard to the pits is best. Also prefer to run timer cables without having to go over the course, i.e. motorhome between start and finish. Doesn't matter what side start and finish are on for either day, but if they are not close together, have Sunday's start near the motorhome. Thanks.

Hi gang.

Well, everything is set for the weekend breaking in the our new lot at San Bernardino International Airport. Everything is shaping up nicely for a terrific event.

The weather forecast for this weekend in San Bernardino is HOT! As such, be sure to bring your SUNSCREEN, plenty of COLD WATER, SUNGLASSES, and SHADE. Those that find room to bring EZups will notice they have a lot of new best friends. UMBRELLAS will be allowed everywhere including on course provided any wind is manageable. Wide brim hats also work well.

Here's a suggestion that I follow when I know it's going to be hot. Freeze about 6-8 bottles of water the night before the event. Take them out of your cooler when you need then and you'll have cold water all day long. This works especially well when working course.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use the trash receptacles for for your trash. It's important that we when we leave the lot is as clean as when it was given to us.

For both the practice and championship, we will be breaking for lunch. There are restaurants nearby for those that prefer to dine out.

We will be setting up course on Friday starting at 2:00 PM. Anyone in the area who'd like to help set-up is welcome and appreciated.

For those first timers, remember to empty the trunk and clean out the interior or your car at home. Before arriving at the site, air up your tires to the max pressure allowed. You can adjust it as the day goes on. Bring a pressure guage if you have one. If you have a helmet, bring it. If not, we have a few loaners. Driving instructors are available, just ask.

George, I can do the motorhome move complete if we can be back in Long Beach By 12:30 PM. I can take you to El Toro,
follow you to San Bernardino, and take you home if we can do it it by 12:30. I think it's no problem as long as we leave Long Beach by 8:00. Let me know. Paul Wehrman 310-326-3512

If you plan on using a jack / jack stands, we recommend bringing something (like a 1' square of plywood) to protect the asphalt. Being a relatively new surface and the likely temps we don't want to damage the lot.

Paul, thanks very much for the offer. We've got the issue handled.

We'll will need to get the CTV to AAA Speedway after the event if anyone can help with that.

Just a reminder that Friday is the last day to pre-register for the Sunday Championship and save $10 off the walk-up price. There is no penalty if you end up not making it to the event on Sunday, but you will pay more for not pre-registering.

If you are one of the new folks registered for the practice, you may want to register for Sunday just in case you become hooked and want to return on Sunday.

Weather for venue as of 3 pm Friday:

Current - 104
Saturday - 101
Sunday - 102

Good thing summer is over and it's officially autumn, otherwise it might get hot.

I'm very worried about this one. I'll have boards under the RV jacks. We really need to protect the pavement if we're ever going to get invited back here.
