aaron has the benefit of being taller in the torso, than the legs, so i think he actually has less problem than your other 6'4 people. i'm not sure how much that helps in squeezing into a mini or a miata though.. :P

He 's a little tall for a Miata, but surprisingly, would easily fit in a MINI.

STU TT Supra on a big open concrete lot = fun. Why not give it a try? Your chances for a win might be better overall as the "Starter" in your own car, then as second-string in someone else's. It's one of only a few cars under 3300lbs. that can fit 285's at all 4 corners and makes good power.

i think he was planning on using the 2009 year to develop the supra, but still wanted to compete in a viable car for 2009.

maybe what aaron needs, is a codriver in the supra to help him develop it. sounds like something that he can sucker marshall into ..

...but 285/30-18 neova cost more then 285 hoosier A6's. and he'd have to turn down the boost.

When you actually show up to an event, you can say something; 'til then - back in the trunk!

Don't need to show up. I just look at the standings and it's a BSP driver on top in PAX :D

No better way to develop a car than by competing in it in National events.

The 285 GTR Dunlops are even more than Neovas, but would still have a better $ per competitive run profile than the Hoosier.

Supra boost controls are entirely mechanical, so as long as the boost controller is tossed and the stock devices kept you are ok. If it decided when stock to stop feeding fuel at 15psi, it doesn't necessarily have to behave that way in ST, since it is a fueling decision it makes, not a boost one. At least, that's one interpretation. 8-)

JRho--- You really like the GTR's? Isn't that the run flat tire?

And Bill.... PAX runs first heat. You are soooo dead.

Even if the Dunlop's grip is only as good as a Neova or RE01R, its extra size and thermal capacity should help a somewhat under-tired car last longer before overheating its tires.

The 240 was 650lbs. (over 30%) heavier than its competition, and only had 10-20mm more tire on same-width wheels. It could keep up for a while but on a longer course, or with too-high temps, the tires would just plain overheat. It helped me that it was about 50 degrees both days in Topeka, and I still had to water the back tires.

The Supra will only be a little bit heavier than the Evo and Sti (but much better balanced), and it gets 40mm more tire.

Supra is just getting a repaint and some mechanical work done, and I'm sure Marshall has his pick of much better rides than anything I own.
