Shes not trying to compete. She just wants to feel the cars limits and drive it hard in a safe environment.

Didn't say she was. I posted the specs as FYI.

I agree the Cayenne looks like it can hold its own, but the people that sanction our events say it can't be run in Stock class.

I submitted an inquiry to National to see if there is any way to run this legally under our sanction, but I wouldn't count on it. I'd submit the YouTube video for consideration but we don't know if that car was modified.

I got surprised by that Hemi Durango with 285 Kumho's on Kansas' only windy road (the one to Club Orleans), and I was driving my STX car!
Kansas has plenty of winding roads, some with dramatic elevation changes. You just have to go on a road rally to find them. :) Too bad they'll never be seen by most people. Of course, like all good midwest roads, they have big ditches on either side, and no extra pavement to the right of the white line.

And while Steve had "performance" truck tires (is that an oxymoron?) on his Durango, I've got true all-seasons (one of the rare all-seasons with the mountain snowflake branding) on my GC.

Another of the vehicles that you would think was legal: Suzuki Sx4. We had one running in our region, and Doug Gill was quite upset to see it out there (I guess I missed that one in Fastrak). Of course, it's on the stock all-season Bridgestones and not R-compounds.

The crossover? There's a sedan version that's quite the bargain and semi-entertaining to drive insofar as any FWD econobox can be. There's a possibility we could get an SX4 Sport for a trophy dash car.
