Cayenne S
Hey? Is a Cayenne S okay to run? I'd sure think so. I don't know the options or standard features, but this one has the sport mode that drops right height. Its damn sporty. And fast. And in my mind totally safe. But would it fall under some silly blanket SUV ban???

Re: Cayenne S
We keep trying to get Henry's Gaffer (head lighting technician) to come out with his Cayenne ... his DD is a Ducati 900 something. Didn't realize there might be a problem with that ... can't see how, when we let Palero drive that Audi, and then there was that xBox thing ...

The Scion isn't legal in Stock class.

Watched Iron Man again last night ... the Audi R8 ... now that is GOLD! When we were in Sedona a couple of weeks ago saw a young Randy Chase type driving one. Tried to snap a shot but missed it.

Re: Cayenne S
I remember a few years ago a local took some runs in a Cayenne....don't remember if it was an S (maybe was) and it seemed to handle OK....no excessive body roll or hint of rolling it....even loaded up with people.

The problem is, when people meet us for the first time, they think he's Sr. Puertas and I'm Mr. Chase!

Some people don't like the looks of it. I think it's fine looking, but the driving experience is much better.Mako Koiwai wrote:Watched Iron Man again last night ... the Audi R8 ... now that is GOLD! Re: Cayenne S
I love everything but the "blades." They look really contrived and slapped-on-last-minute to an otherwise great looking car.

Yeah, the side vents didn't really need much more presence. Can't see them from the driver's seat.Kurt Rahn wrote:I love everything but the "blades." They look really contrived and slapped-on-last-minute to an otherwise great looking car.

I don't usually like those type of accents but I DO in the case of the R8. In fact I like them more in a contrasting color then matching color. Matte black on shiny black is kind of neat.

Carbon on white for the one at Audi's stand for the LA Auto Show. Mirrors are carbon also. Have I mentioned that the gated shifter is part of why driving the R8 is like sex?Mako Koiwai wrote:I don't usually like those type of accents but I DO in the case of the R8. Turbo or Turbo S? I know that sounds like a weird question, but the two models exist.Tadd Ekstrand wrote:Steve Ekstrand wrote:Hey? Is a Cayenne S okay to run? I'd sure think so. Re: Cayenne S
I thought all Turbos were S but not all S were turbo.
But I don't really know Porsches very well. My only experience with them was my scrapped together salvaged '70 914 in HS. It did "rule" the canyons though... It was just the flipping out of gear thing at full throttle and 115mph in a sweeper that I didn't like about the car.
