You just reminded me to sign up. I expect that there are a few procrastinators out there and the SK2 field will expand nicely.

Get signed up everyone. I'd love to have more P1 competitors, we already have a class but the more the merrier. Pro's are rad.. Especially for the Ladies who actually get to run in a nice big L1 & L2.

ProSolo Comes to El Toro 3-27/28 Who's entered?

Post by Steve Eguina »

OK it's really 28/29th

Hi Gang :D Don't miss this event....or you will be VERY SAD

If you have never competed at an SCCA ProSolo event this is your chance :gpower: Don't let the "Pro" part scare you. These guy's and gal's all put their pants on one leg at a time........even Tom Berry......Don't ask how I know that. :o

These events are the most fun you will have at an Auto-X. You get a minimum of 12 runs....there is a FREE BBQ
Friday Night ...Come a little early and you can practice your "Drag Race" starts complete with X-mass tree. See our resident X Drag Racer Steve Eckstrand for tips. ( I think Steve should buy my NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING Camaro :ibrightdea: .......time for a V8 Steve) Cheap Plug :D

As you can see below there are a lot of different challenges to win and have the opportunity to win Hoosier tires and other neat stuff. (see the SCCA site as you have to preregister with some sponsors to quality and carry there decal on your car....COOL 8-) more sticker

The Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo® combines the excitement of drag racing and the skill of Solo on side-by-side, mirror-image autocross courses. Lining up at the familiar “Christmas Tree” start, drivers compete heads-up in various classes by combining their fastest times from each course. After class competition is completed, all ProSolo events feature the top drivers from each class, competing head-to-head in a variety of single- elimination, handicapped Challenges. The Hawk Super Challenge determines the Top Eliminator for the event, the Ladies Challenge draws from the two Ladies classes, the Honda Street Challenge draws from the six "Street" classes, and the Bonus Challenge is for those who have not qualified for one of the other challenges.

I had given up on running the Pro, because Jill's birthday is Sunday the 29th, but Steve's thread title has given me new hope!

I think he was actually commenting on the fact that the ProSolo weekend is the 28th and 29th. (title of this thread: Re: ProSolo Comes to El Toro 3-27/28 Who's entered?)

A good friend recently relocated from the southeast to the Bay Area and is looking for a codrive - preferably in ST

Many of you know him - Heyward Wagner

For those who don't Heyward is super cool and fun, would be a great codriver and instructor - if it's a ST Civic, he's got a lot of knowledge on setup and could assist.

Let me know if anyone has some interest - I know he's big into ST but if nothing like that is available, my guess is he'd be very very open to something else fun (and a reasonably priced codrive).

Heyward's a blast. He was at El Toro last weekend taking a drive in Reyenga's S2000.
Somebody get him in an ST car.

So you use a Christmas tree to start?

I drag raced for many years. This might be right up my alley :)
