Videos to be added later.

Were you using intimidation on the poor Civic. Looks forlorn alone, with a large trash dumpster at it's side.

What's missingis the picture of Bill with the OS Giken hat, the Motul hat, Chase Cam hat, Mita Garage Hat,and other associated sponsors hats & shirsts. That and perhaps the shot with Miss Solo 2011.

No.

Apparently those drivers working in the timing trailer (Matt Braun, Gary T. and a few others) argued that I should get an automatic rerun. SCCA said no, only if I asked for one.

Frankly, at the time, I did not know what had happened, other than it seemed weird. I assumed that I had been an idiot and did not think to ask.

It wasn't until afterwards when Matt talked to me, that it began to make sense.

You don't get a rerun if you DNF prior to the "issue" on course. If a Red Light is a DNF, you killed the run in the first six inches, it would not matter what happened after.

Yeah, but if I red light because the lights start going down when the shot clock reaches 13, I think I should be cut some slack!!

Was that a manual start?

Yes, but the starter hit the wrong button and started the shot clock instead. Then, realizing his mistake, he hit the stage light button.

Meanwhile, once the shot clock started going down, I figured the lights were going to wait until zero after initially being ready to go. You can hear me relax and stop holding the revs.

Tough to make the call at the line... I did something similar many years ago at a Pro. Afterwards I concluded I should have not gone, but asked them to restart the clocks.

Undoubtedly what I should have done. Tough in the heat of the moment though. It's like a Pavlov's Dog reaction :D

Interesting sideways camera on the Berryvo. Is that for filming how a BSP Evo smokes everything else off the start? ;)

I did not catch the shot clock snafu. Tuff call. If it were me, and I was confused by the shot clock/light problem, I would have not gone. Sit there and ask for the rerun on the spot - its only a gamble if no one else noticed it happening, if the others saw it I think you would have been backed out and rerun.

I can relate to your confusion at the start line in that situation Max. Should have been an automatic rerun IMO.

Okay, finally got my camera back. Unfortunately I managed to not capture any of my more humorous mishaps on video, so these are my fastest runs. For a taste of the funny stuff, see Jeff's pix, Gallery 1, pix 310-312.
