We've (Team Blew members) bought a lot of wheels and tires from them. Chad just got his Exige Volks and tires from them ... tell them that you're (going to join) Team Blew. :D

I must be on my way out. Cool ... do tell them you're a Team Blew member.

We noted there were a bunch of Team Blew members that didn't show up for the event that Team Blew hosted last month ...

They quoted Falken RT615 will be $455 cash picked up for a set of 225/45/17. How good of a hook up is that? Sounds decent, I think. :computer:

But why would you want Falken 615's ? Get a quote for Dunlop Star Spec Z-1's.

For what type of car ?

Read this test: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/tes ... p?ttid=107

The three none Hankock tires are the choice of most Street Tire auto crossers ... but there are some new exciting possibilities coming out soon, plus the Kumho XS that might be a winner:

I've received a quote for Z1's at $550 cash picked up, which happens to be a $100 difference on my budget. However, the new Kumho XS shows very good promise so I'll greatly consider them as also they are at the same price range as 615's. I will check if JLB carries XS too. Lately, I've been going through all this tire dilemma! :ugeek:

Tito-

I'd definitely give the Kumho XS the nod over the Falken's. And I like the Falkens.

My car, the 2007 Honda Civic. It also, seems Tire Rack is the only place that has them. I'll keep you guys updated and conduct more research.

The Star Specs definitely work well on the 8th gen civie. But the XS's won't give up much and if they are 20% cheaper?
Falkens will be good too, but a little slower.

To Star Spec runners don't they need to be shaved to be fast? The Falkens don't. And I'm betting the XS will do okay without shaving. I think the star spec is pretty squirmy full tread.

Also what about Toyo R1Rs? Car might overheat the front shoulders of those tires, but they are pretty cheap I think and fast. http://www.tireshoppe.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for those.

Got some new trailer tires there today, they matched tire rack and did the install on site. In an out in less that 15 minutes really great service! Now only if everything was this quick....

Tire Shoppe carries this interesting disclaimer: "Please understand that your vehicle insurance coverage may be affected by the fitment of any wheel or tire which is not the relevant vehicle manufacturer’s original or recommended wheel or tire size." :?:
