2/21/09 Porsche Club practice at El Toro

Post by Steve Eguina »

Hi Gang :D

I was able to set aside 12 spots for SCCA members for our practice at El Toro next Sunday $60
(Also we are having EVO schools for Teens, Phase 1 and Phase 2 that same weekend. go to http://www.evoschool.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to register.)

ALSO OUR SYSTEM IS SET UP TO CHARGE A $15,00 LATE FEE AFTER TUESDAY. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THIS LATE FEE. IF THE SYSTEM WILL NOT TAKE YOUR $60 CREDIT CARD PYMT JUST BRING A CHECK FOR $60 TO THE EVENT BUT DO REGISTER

TO REGISTER for the Porsche practice: You must pay at the time of registration for a valid entry.

To create your logon ID, go to www.pcaocr.org, select “autocross registration”’ then select “registration” top of form. Now you should see a log in page. If you have never driven with us before, select “add new”, and fill in the info. When finished, the system will tell you what your driver ID is. Make a note of that and your password, and that becomes your log in info. WRITE YOUR ID AND PASSWORD DOWN SO YOU DON'T LOOSE IT. THE ID # IS NOT YOU CAR #

Once logged in, select “autocross”, then choose the date from the “event date” drop-down list. If the event is already full, you’ll get a message to that effect at this point. If not, proceed thru the questions (be sure to answer the 4 yes/no questions) and hit “enter” at the bottom. Then hit “payment”, and submit payment with a Visa or MC.Be sure to visit the autocross forum (pcaocr.org, “forum”) and read the notes on “Must Do’s Before Your Autocross” (4th one down from the top or so).

I you have driven with us before (registered) but can’t remember their logon ID, you can email us and we’ll look it up for you – we’d much rather look it up than have you create another one.

Contact me if you have any problems. SEguina@cox.net

COME SHOW THE PORSCHE'S HOW TO DRIVE ! ! ! :

Hope to see you SUNDAY. Have Fun! Steve

How did you do that?

And my post time is 14:08.

I think we're in a time/space warp!

Thanks for the invite, gotta check my tire inventory.

Steve,

Do U guys give this kind of invitation to non-porsche / SCCA drivers at each event ? I'd love to make it out to some of these, but this weekend is no good for me...

Thanks,

B

Steve is reserving spots for SCCA members, regardless of WHAT car they drive :) You'll just be against our other "German" rival :)

You can always sign up for the events, they have one every month at El Toro, but they give priority to Porsche. It also helps if you are a Porsche Club member. There are usually a few non- Porsches there every time but the events do sell out.

HI Brett
Our events were sold out most of last year so this is unusual but hey once you have attended an event and instructed it might get you on the "special" list of non Porsche owners who attend. At our championship events you get about 12 runs. This is possible thanks to our event sponsors.

I don't run the program anymore I'm just an "Emeritus" in charge of making sure the heads are stratigically located :D

Hi Gang!

We still have few spots remaining.

Also, if you can't register in advance check back with me if you think on Saturday you want to come out. I can usually get a couple more into the event. Just depends on how full we are.

Have Fun! Steve

God, I wish I could go to this! I'm already pushin' it with the Evo school on Sat., then the PSCC event the next weekend. Besides, I'll be lucky if my tires make it to through next Sun.

Steve, I think you would feel much worse getting beat by your own Porsche then a Corvette.

I would imagine the Mac generation can't reach any destination without first programming in an address to the little machine on the dash. :)

Steve - hope you are able to fill the spots. I can't commit due to work constraints. I'm doing the EVO school on Saturday and with the audits progressing the way they are, I'll likely need to work on Sunday.
