I've added two new tabs to main home page
  • 2009 National Solo Rules
  • SCCA Solo Cars and Rules
These links will be updated every year by the webmaster(s) and I'm just basically pointing to nationals website and their PDFs, since a lot of newbies ask about classifications and our Supp Regs are just for our region.

Good work, since you are not "hosting" the F1 pool, which was SUPPOSED to have CASH prizes this year, I am glad to see you are making good use of the freed up time.

This update was a 1 time thing. F1 pool is the whole season, and "supposed" to would be the wrong word. I just thought of the idea. Not everyone may have gone for the idea of cash. I want to make it EASY for ME to maintain. All competitors would do is login, make their picks via drop down, it would close off automatically based on time of qualifying, etc... that all takes programming and lots of time.

I'm just breakin b####. It was fun to compete & trash talk with a group that you know & was local. Thanks for doing it last year.

I know you are :) If you're not going to Team BLEW, then I'll see you in SD for the BMW event. I want to do it better than I did last year.

I am registered for BMW SD, addicted to the Starbucks coffee & Costco muffins & 1.25 mile 3rd gear courses.

Two day event as I recall? I approached Peter re: being a yellow shirt. He said maybe.

Yes (Sunday is Street Survival program for teens on the other side of the trolley) in addition to the continuous laps they do on Sunday on the "easter bunny" course.

Best advice on becoming......don't ask. You either get asked/appointed or you don't. It's not about how fast you can go it's about how well you can communicate with the students in addition to showing them the right technique.

Added 2 new links (as I realized our sister region does it for us) on our main site (Solo2.com)
  • Link to San Diego Region's Solo main website
  • Link to San Diego Region's Solo forums website
P.S. - To SD region's webmaster *cough* Chasecam man Randy *cough*...there's no link to your forums from your main site. Not sure if that's an oversight or not. And also if you can rename your link to our region to "Cal Club Region" or "CSCC Region" as opposed to LA region that'd be great.

It's intentional (or at least it was years ago when it was set up), the forums are 'unofficial'.

You can wiesle your way there through the 'SCNAX' club link on the left of the page.

BTW, our home page now shows a tenative Jan 1st, 2012 event at El Toro. Whoo-hoo, ring in that new year.

Curious...why is it considered "unofficial"?

That's a phantom event for testing purposes.

Why? We have some curmudgeons that tend to see conspiracy when they look for it, and I am (was) the source of all evil in San Diego. Well, assuming you think karts are evil.

Curmudgeon is a Latin term that loosely translated relates to why Prep and Mod paxes are so soft.

Since when are Prep paxes soft, I was always told that DSP was soft ;)

Our region is a lady's tea party compared to SD Solo.

Main page updated to include text links and logo image links to Papa Cal Club (Road Racing division) on Solo2.com. Image is ours (Solo), then theirs (Road Racing), then nationals logo (SCCA).

ROFLOL!!!

We were dealing with proposals of computerizing the time systems when the aforementioned person and other like thinkers were fighting that too.
Many of those opposed are now either less involved, moved on, or have embraced some of the technological changes. I wonder when it was last addressed, and if the decision would be different today?
