2009 FORMULA 1 PETRONAS MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX - predictions?

Post by Kristoffer Gjevre »

My Scandinavian peeps (Kimi & Heikki) had no luck in Australia, and I predict rain and both of them spinning off in Malaysia... which is strange as one would think growing up in the north with a lot of rain and snow should have them be experts in these conditions...
Massa will spin off to... the Ferrari is too twitchy...
Hammilton has proved himself in these conditions, but based on his comments from the last race that he newer knew when it was going to break away, I think he will spin off too...
Is it going to be Barrichellos day - he has hade some good results in the rain, and with that additional downforce by the "illegal" difuser he should have it made?
Vettel wil have a glorious drive in the rain, even with the 10 place grid penality.

Ferrari will have to add the illegal diffuser; they're not running one.

Hamilton will do OK in the rain. GP2 cars don't have traction control or much down force either. Vettel, Rubens, Kubica should all be OK.

Kimi should dominate—he's a former ice racer! BTW, did anyone understand a word he said during the Aussie pre-race show on speed?

So it's a given that BRAWN will dominate again? ;)

I'm in 2nd place in Michael Henderson's F1 Fantasy League ... didn't want to get dragged into this, but I guess I better attend to the three changes I'm allowed between races to defend or improve my standings. :computer:

As for Brawn, given the Mercedes engine, diffuser and faster setup, both cars could be on the front row again.
