Now that i watch the video I see so many places I lost time.... if only I could do it again.
it helps to hit the HQ button and turn up the sounds
need to sort out the blue smoke issue during sweepers. cant be playing around with that one much. its either oil starved or extra oil is dumping into the intake
suspension was on 147k shocks and tein lowering springs which make the front roll center like 10 feet below the earths surface. still actually handled decent i think lol
still managed a 71 taking it kinda easy with one brushed cone
Great weekend! Sweet Course! Spectacular showing for Greg's first course design! Thanks Greg! Pretty sure you will find it hard to escape future requests for another attempt! Great job!

Jeff, Nathan and I want to know more about your car!!!!
Both practice & championship were SO FUN! Thanks TEAM BLEW! Course was very fun.
The rest-time slalom and figure 8's just made the practice that much better - I got to test all sorts of suspension settings during my rest time. Seems to work great as long as there's enough workers on course - definitely something we should be doing more often.
And a very big thanks to all who game my little cousin ride-alongs, he had a complete blast!
I have in-car videos from the past several events, still sitting in my dvr, unprocessed - I should get to them.
Very cool!
My 5 year old son Erik was too shy and a bit intimidated to sit in the kart on our first visit to the kid karting area, but on the second he tried to sit in the kart.
I played the video of Robert for him and he said "Can I do that?" and then he changed it to "When can I do that?".
We will have to think about what steps to make next.
We introduced Robert back in December with a Kid Kart Camp day at Apex Kart Track with Dave DiMond. I think that day of intense instruction (for kid and parents) took 6 months off of Robert's progress starting the sport. He has a real confidence now. Maybe he doesn't know too much about technique and line, but clearly a little bit. What he does know is his kart. He knows what it can do, how it accelerates and brakes. He knows how to make it spin or get the kart rotating a bit.
I'd like to get him sitting straighter and not leaning forward or into turns. I'd love if he got closer to the cones and anticipated getting back on the throttle much earlier after lifts. But we haven't tried to push those things yet. He's in pre-K. He can't spell his last name. I'm just glad I can answer HIS questions, keep a focus on safety and fun, and try to set up opportunities for him to discover faster ways around.
